meow asked:
Is there any way aside from calling animal control to get rid of stray cats around the house? I wouldn’t normally care, but they keep getting into the garbage and recycling and starting fights with our cat at the window.
Like I said, I wouldn’t normally care, but they actually get at our windows at start fights with our cat at the screens. I could get the lids for the garbage, but that won’t help with the fighting problem, so we need they to leave the house alone completely…

I’ve tried the usual fussing and showed them the plant while saying NO!! That didn’t work. They usually just play in the dirt but my Maine Coon likes to chew the leaves on my ivy. Any ideas? I don’t want to get rid of my plants or (2) cats either.

I noticed on Yahoo! Answers that people inquiring about purebred cats are always advised to select a cat from a shelter, however when people inquire about purebred dogs you don’t see the same concern.

Dogs are so cool! asked:
In the area that I live in we have way too many stray cats. There is one with an infected eye that I would like to take to the vet. There is also a young cat down in the woods. Do you think I should leave them alone or find them a home? And to find them a home I need to catch them, how do I do that?
I forgot to mention I will foster them around two other cats a dog and a lot of people (we have a lot of visitors)

It’s my pet peeve. I can’t stand to see food wasted, and my perfectly normal cats are refusing to touch Chicken Liver. They would rather have the dry stuff out of a bag.
What are my knucklehead porch-cats trying to tell me?

dr_kareilly asked:
I understand cats are nocturnal, but our kittens decide they want to play hockey and kitten-derby at 11 at night and 4 in the morning but they sleep all day. Is there any way we can switch that around by changing feeding times or something? We try playing with them right before bed but that just winds them up more. Any thoughts?

Nautilus asked:
The kittens were 3 weeks old and disappeared overnight. We don’t know what got them. The next day a male cat was already visiting the mother cat in the barn.
She’s not our cat. She’s a stray that wandered onto our farm.
We don’t keep cats in the house. And because she’s a stray, she won’t stay put in the barn or other shelters. I guess the only option is to lock her in the garage with a litter box and hope she’s potty trained!
