squirrel girl asked: I have a cat and am planning on getting a dog. My cat loves food and has eaten from my friend’s dog food when she was visiting. I want to get a Golden Retriever and I’ve heard they’re big on eating. How would I keep the food away from one another?

Jeremie W asked: I am scheduled for a brain cat scan in about a week. I live in Texas and on Blue Cross/ Blue Shield medical insurance. I pay 70/30, so my insurance sucks, i have a $500 deductible as well. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas how much I will end up paying. This cat scan isn’t necessary, so I think if it is too much i will just cancel it and wait until next year. I suffer from headaches every day and migraines once a week. Thankyou in advance.

Lisa asked: I think the cat might have been sick or something because it lost patches of fur. I forgot to wash my hands after and then i pet my cat. I didnt touch either my house cat or the stray cat’s saliva, so i don’t think i can give my cat rabies. But can other diseases be transfered by touch?
this was only a few days ago, and my cat isn’t showing symptoms. if i take him to the vet then what can he do?

Mrs. Wayne asked: Someone in my family bought an all natural liquid made to calm a cat’s nervous system when they travel. I just looked at the ingreditnts and it has 13% Alcohol! I just felt sick about it! I want to burn the darned liquid!!! The person who bought it says it won’t hurt them and would be better for them when they are traveling. I don’t think its safe!
Does anyone have any facts or articles about the effects of Alcohol on cats? Thank you.

ilovetobleroneandtwilight asked: I’m helping look after my neighbor’s cats for awhile since they left on vacation. The cats are a mother and her son. The mother seemed kind of fat and her stomach seemed to be round-ish but I have no idea how you can tell whether they are pregnant or not. Both the cats are not spayed or anything and only the mother cat and her son are the only pets. Can the mother tell that the other cat is her son? Or would she get pregnant with him? And any idea if they are pregnant, can they still be spayed or something? Please help!

Marie K asked: Hi there, I was given an almost new double baby stroller, for my 15 month old daughter and my baby that’s due in December. Only problem is that there is a cat pee smell I can’t seem to get rid of. I took out the padding that was removable and washed it in the washer, which took care of the smell in that part. But the unremovable stuff still smells even though I washed it down with disinfectant mixed with hot water and febreeze. I saturated the whole thing with this mixture and it still has a lingering cat pee odor. What else could I safely do to try to get rid of this smell?

Arthur asked: I live in a house with 15 people and we have mice. We tried humane solutions for about a year with not good results, so we tried the poison traps, which worked beautifully. Then we got a cat to kill the mice (and because we love cats anyway). It doesn’t seem to be helping with the mice, but now we can’t use poison traps because we do not want to poison the cat inadvertently. Will the cat eventually kill all the mice, or do we need to do something more, and what should we do?
