Baby kitten? Health issues?
One of the six kittens that were born seems to be having a problem. I think both her eyes used to be open and now one of them are closed with this yellow ”puss” stuff around it. Only a little bit though. (sorry if that sounds weird) I tried to wipe it away but it only seems to be helping a little…What do i need to do?
or maybe its just opening for the first time……i cant remember…….To many kittens @_@
Can anyone tell me the EXACT MEDICINE to get?
tejas_yuki- i did not say wanted to spay ”my cat” So thanks i guess for the advice but im not going to spay her. Yes i know there are alot of homeless kittens/cats in this world but im not spaying this one.

A vet can give you some antibiotics and eye ointment.

sounds like your kitten has an eye infection. Take it to the vet to be sure. they will give you medication. If you don’t take your cat in it could lose it’s vision in that eye. I have 2 rescued cats that have permanently lost vision in one of their eyes.
if you can’t afford a vet. see if your local pet store has an eye ointment called Terramycin Antibiotic ophathalmic ointment.

kittens are very prone to respitory viruses. First, take a warm damp cloth and gently clean all the gook from around the eyes. then call a vet, they wiill only get better with some antibiotic. I am treated a litter of 5 right now with liquid clavamox, just a drop, twice a day. And it’s not an expensive thing, but they are going to need help til they build up a good immune system

It’s good to get your new kittens checked over by a vet anyways to make sure they are healthy. A lot of kittens seem to get eye infections.

Its an infection. First wash your hands, not to put in more germs in your cats eyes.
Take a clean facecloth, soak it with warm water put it over kitty’s eyes for a minute or two, and then try to gently remove the yellow stuff.
Then use a clean Q-tip to gently remove any excess stuff that is probably sticking around it. when its clean, put some ophtalmologic polysporin (that you get from the pharmacist) It has to be the ophtalmological stuff only. Put some around the eyes. you should clean it and put the ophtalmological ointment at least twice a day.
You should really see a vet tough.

you have to go to a vet to get it especially due to the age of the kitten

The EXACT MEDICATION you need is prescribed by your vet - not bought OTC. Bring the kittens in - all will need treatment THEN make an appointment to spay you Mommy cat.
