Can a cat give birth on two different days?

My cat had kittens Mon night, 5 one was a still born, so there were 4, ok I know this sounds crazy but, I came home from school today, and there were 5 kittens! Can a cat give birth on two different days?

    unless the stillborn came back to life or you miscounted…I believe you just saw that it can happen.

    One of our cats, Princess had 2 different litters. Her first litter she had 6 kittens, they were all born within 2 hours. The second litter that she had, one was born about 4pm that day. We knew she still had kittens in her, we were terrified to think that the rest were going to be still born and we were going to wait 24hours to see if she was going to “pop the rest out”. The next day around 6pm we were getting really worried, when all of a sudden she started whining, to everyones surprise she just had given birth to another screaming, very much alive kitten! Not just one, but four more, all together 5 beautiful baby kittens!

    So yes, it is possible for a cat to give birth on two different days. It isn’t that normal for all of them to be alive though, but they are all in different “sacs” :-) Jenn
