Most cats avoid strangers and aren’t much of lap cats, one of those cats is my favorite Egyptian Mau.
The only cat i know to be very social, loving and loyal is the Savannah but its illegal in NYC.
So what cat breed is warm, isn’t afraid of much things, playful, loyal and is a lap cat and doesn’t hide or hiss at strangers and other animals.

Hello there, my missus and I decided to take a cat we believe is a stray into our home and keep him. We had him nutared and have been loking after him for about a week (although we have had him around for almost 3 weeks now) He is a young cat and its taking time to build up his confidence of humans as he is not the most trusting cat, but we are slowly making progress. We also have another cat who is older and is having a serious problem adjusting to another cat in the house (but thats another problem).
Our main concern right now is that out new cat doesnt know about kitty litter , we have tried to place him in the tray but he begins to panic when we try resulting in a struggle and the cat running to the front door.
When he wants the toilet he scraps at the front door carpet quite severely until we open the door, he then disapears for about a day before returning.
How do you train a youngish cat to use a litter tray?

We’ve been feeding our cats friskies dry food since we’ve got them a year ago. And we also feed them friskies wet food. Well about 2 months ago we stopped the wet food. Just recently we started them back up on it. Our oldest cat hasn’t shown any signs of diarrhea, and both of our cats are indoor cats. Could changing their food like that be the cause of my youngest cats diarrhea problem?

My parents bought this new cat water fountain for our cats to help them drink more water. However, I haven’t seen them drink out of it and I’m worried they aren’t getting enough water. Yes, the water does go down and we have to fill it but the water is near a few windows where the sun is so I’m wondering if the water is just being evaporated. So how can I tell? Sometimes I even wonder if they even LIKE the cat water fountain.

My older grumpy cat (12 years) and my younger loving, but protective, cat (2 1/2) years got into a tiff last night. Since then, my older cat hisses and growls whenever the younger cat walks by. How do I mediate and rectify this situation? I feel so bad for both of them. Any advice would be helpful.

I understand that some cats have a gene that makes them responsive to catnip, while other cats lack this gene. Since we were told that our two cats are siblings, we would expect the same reaction to catnip, yet the female loves it and the male is indifferent to it. Is it possible that related cats have different reactions, or is it more likely that they are not siblings? Curious to know what multi-cat families have experienced. Thank you!

Whenever our door is open, other neighborhood cats come into our house and steal my cats food ! But even if my cat see’s the other cat eating its food it just sits there and watches, doesn’t even try to stop it. How do i stop these cats coming in?!
