Cats and Kittens

I do have 2 cats myself so I don’t want them to run away. Before i made my garden my cats use to pooh in the lawn like dogs so I am not sure if its my cats or neighboring cats.

I’m wanting to buy a philodendron plant, but am afraid one of our cats will see it and try and eat it, mistaking it for her cat grass. I’m wondering if pepper oil used for cooking sprinkled on the plant will work, or, alternatively, hurt the plant. Or what about garlic oil on the plant? I know that pepper on the skin can burn, so am wondering if it could do the same on the plant. Or, is there any type of spray that can be used to prevent the cat from getting near the plant before she chews the leaves? Philodendrons are poisonous to cats, so I don’t want her to even chew on it, which is why I want to avoid bitter apple spray. Hope all this makes sense, and thanks in advance?

For whatever reason, the neighborhood cats LOVE to poop and pee on our lawn. They also dig it up with their claws when they scratch around. They act just like dogs, and now our front yard stinks, and our lawn has dirt patches and big patches of yellow where the cat urine killed the grass. Does anyone know of any good ways to keep cats off of the lawn?

We don’t own any cats (or any other animals) so I don’t know why the local cats have started using a small patch of lawn right under my living room window as a bathroom. It smells terrible, I have tried the cat repellents sold in stores but it hasn’t helped to keep them away. Now that the summer heat has arived the smell is really awful. Anyone got any ideas on how to get rid of the odor and to permanently discourage the cats?
I have one rose bush and a jasmine vine, other than that it’s just grass.

Next door neighbors have 5 cats. There are many more in my neighborhood and they all roam free. I have a dog but my yard is not fenced so he cannot be outside unless I am with him. I have motion sensor lights that turn on when a cat enters my yard and I go out and throw water on them which works when I am home or not asleep. I cleaned uo 30 “piles” this week!!! Help!

The neighborhood that i live in has several ferrel cats and a few outside cats that are pets. I don’t want to harm the animals i just don’t want to find cat fecies in my flowerbeds or walk into my back yard and smell cat urine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
