well, either get rid of the new cats since the other cat and dog were there first, or give it a little time and usually, pets will adjust :) jenaz77

    TIME!

Keep the older one seperated from the two through a door for a week… they will be dying to smell each other then! praehunter

Not to repeat what other have already said, but giving them time is the best option. About six months ago, I got a new cat, a 4-year-old female, who at first hated my other cat, a year-old-male. She always hissed at him, bit him, and batted her paws at him. But now they play together, follow each other from room to room, and they are constantly cleaning each other. I wouldn’t be able to separate them now with the Jaws of Life!!

If time doesn’t seem to help, then maybe you need to make them understand that fighting is a no-no and they have to play nicely together. If you ever catch them fighting spray them with a spray bottle of water– it is a nonviolent form of control that they hate, and eventually, they’ll get the idea. (Just make sure you don’t mistake playing for “fighting”) tonyamarie0404

You should give them time. If it dosnt get better in a few months then get rid of the new ones. The others were there first. ur2cooll

You need to give them the time to get use to each other that usually works. red1967
