How and when should I introduce newborn kittens to a 5 month old maltipoo puppy?

Right now I have them in two seperate parts of the house, and the cat and dog got along well before my cat had the kittens. I have found loving homes for all 5 kittens but I can’t give them away until they’ve reached 6 weeks… how should I go about introducing them and when would be a good time?

actually, you shouldn’t give them away before 8 weeks, and even that is pushing it. they learn a LOT of manners and good behaviours between 8-12 weeks.. please keep them longer.

I would not introduce the kittens to the dog before the kittens are able to walk around and voluntarily leave the nest. Mom is highly protective of them for the first four weeks. Hold a kitten and introduce it to the dog and see how things go. you need to be very cautious though as kittens are very fragle and even with some simple play from your dog could cause some serious issues. if things become more than sniffing and snuggling, then you need to remove the dog.
