OK cats are predatory animals, to do this they need to be high so they can see everything that is happening around them. your cat is doing nothing wrong in his or her mind and if it is over 8 months old it is very unlike that it ever change but one thing you can do is to make a platform with a latter of some sort that is about the same height or a little taller than your car. you can look it up on the web as a cat house but sadly you will have to search as cat house will bring other results as well sorry about those maybe cat house plans would be better oldslowchevy

Not a whole lot you can do about that - they like the warmth. Just be sure to check - and double check - under the hood EVERY time you want to go somewhere... I've seen too many mangled kitties that found a warm place to nap under there... not a fun part of my job... EJ

Just give up and keep a soft rag in your car. thats the only thing i have found that works in alotof years. With luck the offending cat will wander away soon. One idea is mouse traps set on the hood. i hear this works. depends how desperate you are. La-z Ike

Do you have a car alarm? If so, activate it whenever you catch the cat on your car. Assuming, of course, that it isn't at some ungodly hour in the morning. tkron31

First, your cat sleeps on your car. It is warm. You won't convince a cold cat to sleep somewhere else. You wouldn't, the cat won't either.

There is only one way. Only one.

But a dog and chain it near you car.

Cat won't go near it.

Otherwise, you are going to have to keep your cat indoors... or give the cat away. Chem Man
