Ok - I have the answer! This happened to me before. Because these cats have been outside.. they are used to pooping outside in the dirt. So they don’t understand that they are supposed to poop on litter. You need to take some soil, from a plant or from outside and sprinkle it in your litter box. I did it for my cat and he immedietly pooped in there!Sunny

use an old facecloth and rub thier bottoms not too hard but fairly vigorously up and down , mummy cats lick thier babies bottoms to stimulate thier bladders/bowels into moving so try simulating this , and feed them kittem formula , at 3/4 weeks old they should still be suckling from mom regularly xtheknkcrew

This is going to gross you out. You have to rub the area right below the genitals to make them do some business. Them wipe it off and wash them with a little water. If they’re not eating any solid food yet, they might not need to poop. Are they just getting milk? Age gauge– if their ears stick all the way up they’re 4 or more weeks old. If their ears are slightly flattened, they’re 3 or less weeks old. At 4 weeks you can see if they’re interested in a little solid food. Separate them from each other by a foot the first few times you give them solid food. You don’t want them to accidentally claw into one another’s eyes. Also keep your hand out of there. The survival instinct makes them slap a front paw down while doing this little “nomma-nomma-nom” sound. Their claws are fully extended when they do this.
When they’re eating solid food you can teach them to use the cat box by taking their little front paws gently and making them scratch at the litter. They usually get it immediately, and will use the box if it’s kept in a place where it’s easy to find.winker

Kittens don’t know how to have a bowel movement by themselves until about 4 wks old. You have rub there tummies in a downward motion from about the bottom of the ribs down to there rectal area(I know its gross but).poohbear1978

Mother cats lick their behind to make them go so take a slightly damp cloth and wipe their butts, if they still aren’t going take to a vet and get them help they could be impacted.Maryjane

You should begin feeding these kittens solid food. They are plenty old enough. It sounds like maybe they aren’t getting enough to eat to need to poop. They will go if they need to, even without stimulation. Mix a quality meat canned food with meat baby food, warm it slightly in the microwave (stir to avoid hot spots). Some kittens will immediately start eating it, but you may need to scoop a bit up with your finger and put it in their mouths for a few tries. Good luck with them!catiators

Three weeks old? Are they able to eat? You might have to hop down to the store and get some kitten milk for that young age. I think I’ve heard about people taking warm washcloths and rubbing it on there undersides.Char
