How can you stop kittens scratching and do kittens lose teeth?

Hi I have four kittens and they are scratching my furniture to death I have tried a scratch post but it does not work also my 6 month old kitten just lost 2 teeth is this normal or should I be worried Thanx

    Losing teeth at that age is normal, she is getting her adult teeth. Try spraying them with a squirt bottle and saying no when they claw your furniture. You can also trim their nails, use soft paws, or consider declaw. TKS

    Kittens can’t control their claws till they reach late puberty, about 6 months of age. Use a fingernail clippers to take the TIPS off the front claws–be extremely careful not to cut into the pink part where the blood supply is (it’s painful and will bleed like crazy). That will at least help.

    Give them something to scratch on, or lay a blanket over the area they scratch to protect furniture.

    Yes, all baby animals loose their baby teeth and the adult teeth come in right after. Most people don’t even notice it, and most kittens end up swallowing the loose teeth. Elaine M
