I had 4 cats, now have 3. Had to put one down last week. All 4 of my cats came into my house at different times; so introducing them to other cats is my specialty! Two females....---> 1). The spray bottle technique YET if they're both equally disliking each other....then, 2). One cat in one room, the other cat outside that room. Another writer said 2-3 days. I'd say a week at least. They will sniff at the door, etc. THEN, you switch the cats out. Put the other one inside the room and the one that was in the room, bring her out of it. Close the door again. The one inside the room will smell the other one having been there (and vice versa). Hopefully, when they come out, they will just "give each other space" (that's what my cats did), until they (hopefully) accept each other. You might get lucky and they will hang out together or, they won't and you'll just have to watch 'em. Animals are funny, huh? I had 4 cats, now have 3. Had to put one down last week. 2). One cat in one room, the other cat outside that room. Another writer said 2-3 days. I’d say a week at least. They will sniff at the door, etc. THEN, you switch the cats out. Put the other one inside the room and the one that was in the room, bring her out of it. Close the door again.

The one inside the room will smell the other one having been there (and vice versa).

Hopefully, when they come out, they will just “give each other space” (that’s what my cats did), until they (hopefully) accept each other. You might get lucky and they will hang out together or, they won’t and you’ll just have to watch ‘em.

The cat that you got first is basically the "Queen" of the house. Introducing the newer cat to the older cat is like promoting the newer cat as queen. The 9 month old cat is invading the year-and-a-half cat's territory. To make peace between them, let them sniff each other through a door. place one cat in the bathroom, the cat that does not have food in there and does not want to be in there. If this cat does not want to be in here, then she/he will stay at the door. Place the other cat on the opposite side of the door and allow them to sniff each other. Then, give one cat the other cat's toy that they play with the most and allow he/she to smell it just to get used to the sense of the other cat. Do the same with your other cat. If this does not work, simply allow the two cats to be separated for the rest of their lives. Hope I helped! I would also get a spray bottle and fill it with water so that when they do fight then you can spray them if they are bad like if they leave skares on them that would be the only reason i would spary them. But i would also try putting one cat in like a bedroom and then shout the door but put one litter box and one thing of food and water in there. Then put the other cat right outside the door and that should solve the problem.
