How do I get kittens use having a litter box in another room?
We have 7 month old kittens, My mom though it was time to move their litter to the bathroom instead my room,But they wouldn’t do their business where the litter is. When I woke this morning they did their business in my room. How do you get them used to having their litter box in another room or I should wait a little longer or keep the litter as it.

Try moving the litter box into the bathroom. Slowly try to move them in the bathroom and introduce them to the litter box. You could either watch them and when they go to where the litter box used to be, pick them up and take them to the new spot. You may have to do this several times. Or, you could put them in the bathroom with food and water and close the door. By keeping them in there, they will learn that they are to use the litter box in the bathroom. Hope this helps

I would leave the litter box in your room and add one in the bathroom. Then wait a while for them to adjust to the new litter box before taking out the one in your room. Also you should always have one litter box per cat. They can be in different parts of you house.

Move it very slowly over a long period. Replace the litter box for day or two. Then, move it towards your door by several inches. Wait another day or two. Move it several more inches. Keep going until you have it near your doorway. Put it outside the doorway. Continue the process until the litter box is in the bathroom.
Most pets rely on routine habits. When you interrupt these habits and routines, it’s confusing for them, especially with young animals. Make it a gradual process, and you and your kittens should be fine.

Okay, I have a 6 month old kitten and a 2 year old cat. We got one more litter box when we got the 6 month old kitten. We have one on the main floor and one we just put downstairs. The 6 month old kitten is starting to use the second one we put down stairs. Show you kittens th litter box in the bathroom. After you feed them wait about 5 minutes. Then bring them to the bathroom where the litter box is a put them either in it or right next to it. Or if they went t the bathroom in your room and made a mess. If they went to the bathroom on a shirt. Cut the piece they made a mess on and put it in the litter box. They will smell their scent and probably go in. We did that with are older cat and she learned in a day. Try the first thing first then try the second thing I said.

Get a new litter box to put in the bathroom and leave the old one in your room. Put a little poo in the new one so they know what its for - gross but it should help. Once they start doing their business in the new one, then you can phase out the other one.

Try locking them in the bathroom for awhile and then they will get used to where it is. You might also put the litter outside the door of the bathroom for awhile, but locking them in there might be the best way.
