Ive never tried blue buffalo but I believe science diet is a good brand. If anything, try presciption diet.

Dont switch it outright or it will make them throw up or have diarrhea. YOu have to slowly start with giving the original food with a bit of the new for a week, then add a bit more, a bit more, etc. And then after a couple weeks you can give the cat the new stuff.

if she won't eat it mixed, then i don't think there is any other way to force her to eat it. she will eat it eventually, hopefully.
can i make a suggestion though? I would recommend Wellness, California Natural or Felidae, because some of my friends are cat owners and most of them have tried Blue Buffalo, and they all said there cat didn't like it or she/he had problems after eating it, and the three i recommended, there cats loved at least one of them and had no problems.

I have a cat of my own and we have made her switch foods I don't how many times! But one thing I can say is that she liked whatever was her type of food. Now she is going on food made especially for her type of breed. If your cat is a specific type of breed go to a pet store and find a food for that type of breed. Another thing you can do is try canned food. Take a lot of different canned food you think your cat might like and feed her each one every day. Then find the one she likes the most. Feed her that one and you have yourself a food for your cat!

Too bad you ran out of the science diet b/c you could have gradually mixed in different cat food and then eventually just be able to give her a different brand.
There are sample 1lb bags of cat food at the store like purina health, or fancy feast, and some others, try and see if she likes something else better.
also, you can try and mix some wet food in with the new brand and put that in a few times.
my cats are picky eaters and once i changed them to purina and iams they won't eat anything else. maybe your kitty wants to be a pain in the a$$ and make you spend a ton on her food :)

unfortunately, the only answer is what Rook said. When she gets hungry enough, she'll eat it. If she won't eat the Blue Buffalo on her own, try finding another type of food she likes and mixing it with that. Otherwise, all you can do is see if anyone has leftover science diet food for you to mix with the Blue Buffalo.

if you can't mix it, just put the new food down, if your cat gets hungry enough she will it it....

this is a little gross, but if it is dry cat food, what i did when i was younger, my cat wouldn't eat, i showed her the bowl sat there with her, and took a piece while she was watching me and ate it. she starting eating right after that...
i know that is weird and gross, but it worked! lol
