How do I get my cat to stop peeing behind the toilet?
I have 3 indoor cats and two litterboxes. I clean them out everyday but have a cat that pees behind the toilet. I have not made any changes with the litter. I scrub the floor and around the toilet everyday with bleach and hot water. My cats are all fixed. Do I move the catbox or put some kind of deterent behing the toilet? I love my cats but I also love a clean bathroom. Not to mention it’s disgusting!

They pee in one spot and go there again and again because of the smell. Kinda like marking their territory. You could try rubbing their noses in it. Or just get rid of the cats and get a nice puppy.

Sometimes cats will continually go outside the box as a way of telling you something’s wrong with them. ex: Bladder infection, or kidney stones. I recommend taking the cat to the vet to get it checked out, to rule out medical problems, before you continue trying to alter it’s behavior
