Bleach contains immonia, your cat smells the ammonia and still decides it's fine to pee their, spray some lemon juice or get fooey to stop your kitty, or if the two litter boxes are elsewhere try and keep the door closed as others have stated. killedbyapenny

It's really not hard. I've raised cats for 25+ years. Put the litter box in the bathroom. When you clean the urine up DO NOT throw the paper away; put it in the litter box. Cats will return to the same spot and locate that spot by smell. The cat will smell their own scent on the paper you placed in the box and go there. Shabayou

For every cat that you have you should have the same number of litter boxes. Keep the litter brand the same in all three and clean daily. When a cat goes to the bathroom outside of the litter box it usually means that something else is going on. I would also suggest taking your cat to the vet, as it could have a UTI (urinary tract infection) or crystals in its urine, which makes it painful to urinate and the cat begins to associate the pain with the litter box and eventually will pee elsewhere. oweemytoe

Once my cat decided not to use the littler box, it was all downhill from there and went all over the house. However to my surprise, she started going through the dog door and did her business outside which was great. I scrubbed and disinfected her litter box and let it sit in the sun to dry. She started to use her box again when she didn't want to go outside. I guess her box needed a good scrub rather than just having the litter cleaned and changed. Good luck. mickey

You can try placing something repulsive there to discourage it from wanting to do its business there.
Cats have very sensitive noses - place something that smells terrible to them. I'm not exactly sure what works for yours but my cat didn't like sour fruits and absolutely hated the whiff of alcohol. holy_dart

Keep the door closed but if you have the boxes in the bathroom I would get something like a box and shove it behind the toilet so your cat is blocked from going behind and peeing. My cat when young like the corner of my living room so I placed the dog crate on her spot and she no longer could get there and her behavior stopped. Boxer Lover
