How do you get a dog to stop chewing on cat toys?

cat toys
Irish_Girl860509 asked:

My dog won’t stop chewing on my new cat’s toys… he has his own right beside it and he might just like the feathers on it or something… but he is ruining the toys I just got for my kitten.. the feathers are all chewed up and gross. He also eats my cat’s food and bothers her while she is in her litter box… any advice from anybody?? My dog is driving me absolutely crazy!!

Don’t let your dog eat your cats food. It is VERY high in calories and higher in fat content and can cause your dog to get pancreatitis.

As for the toys….that’s hard. Some of the cat’s toys probably have catnip in them, which attracts dogs. You might be out of luck, unless you separate them.

    take the cat toys away.
