How do you get a kitten to bond with a border collie?

Both pets are very placid alone but when my dog comes up to the kitten in curiously, it is received with a very prompt hiss from the kitten. The kitten is about 9 weeks old and the dog is about 4 years old. The dog is harmless with anything and she just gets very curious around animals which can sometimes lead to a chase. Especially with our other cat who is starting to get used to the dog after 4 years.

Any tips for getting the kitten to not be scared of the dog?

Cats and dogs normally become ok with eachother over time. Just make sure they are not too segregated and after a few tellings off from the cat the dog will give it more space.

    superglue should do the trick

…glad you see the problem, the kitten is tiny and the dog is big! I’d be scared too…maybe just hold the cat and sit with it, near the dog…get closer each day…make sure the cat feels safe from the dog, don’t let the dog approach , that way the cat will know when she’s in your arms she’s safe.

Either that, or get 9 more kittens and the collie will think they’re a herd of really small sheep, and he will round ‘em all up.

put a cat suit on the dog…..better still get cat suits for the family…….

dont do anything, the kitten will soon get used to the border collie. i have two kittens who first of all didnt like my dog but now love my dog. the kitten looks at the dog as a threat and thinks the dog is harmful but soon the kitten will realise that the dog is not harmful and does not want to hurt it. my kittens love my dog now. so you dont need to do anything as they will get used to eachother in no time. (i used to have a border collie who died last year at 15 years of age :( ) and one of my kittens who is coming up to a year now has just had 6 kittens of her own lol shes such a tart. oh and my other kitten is pregnant too lol. they are both tarts :P
