How do you move a out door cat from one city to another?
I’m moving to a city that’s about 5 hours away, and I have three cats, the cats are not allowed to ride in the pickup, they have to ride in the back. I have 2 cat carriers and 1 leash and harness. 1 cat will not get in the cat carrier, and the other 2 will not walk on the leash. We may have to spend the night, and they are not allowed in the hotel. What should I bring, how should I travel with them, and what should I do if I have to leave them in the pickup? Please Help! ! ! ! !

Fed Ex or sneak them in to the hotel.
I saw a room in Michigan one time that was destroyed by a monkey!

first take them in the car with you. just as you won’t leave your kids in the pickup then you won’t leave your cats they can actually run away.
find an hotel who will accept you and your cats. there are alot of those just call around.
you should move your cats first put them in a closed room if any one else is moving with you they should sit in the room with the cats to keep them calm.
the cats should not go outside for at least a month, they need to get used to their new location. make sure the windows are closed and watch the door and any kind of a possible exit.
when they do go out go with them at first so they will get to know the area.
personally i would advice you to keep all your cats as an indoor cats it’s safer that way. but that’s your decision
that’s pretty much all i know about moving and cats.

well, I hope you like peanut butter cause once you get them in the hotel room you will need to put peanut butter on their nose and front paws–this will keep them entertained and effect their since of smell so they wont geek out on you
Now to get them in the room unnoticed–well bring a couple of extra blanket and drape them over the carrier and pray that the last one will cooperate in your hands under a sheet or something. You may need to do a trial run at home go from inside to outside and than back . Try to get a room close to where you will park and relax as long as they have you to protect them they will trust you.
The peanut butter thing will work, but for at least the first 12 hrs keep you outdoor pet in at least your washroom or bathroom with you checken on him from time to time. And re put the peanut butter on him again–when a cat smell another cat they get upset. By the time they each get the peanut butter off the room and house smell will not bother them and they will be ok with their new surroundings.
Good luck and take care!
