You may need to do a trial run at home go from inside to outside and than back . Try to get a room close to where you will park and relax as long as they have you to protect them they will trust you. The peanut butter thing will work, but for at least the first 12 hrs keep you outdoor pet in at least your washroom or bathroom with you checken on him from time to time. And re put the peanut butter on him again--when a cat smell another cat they get upset. By the time they each get the peanut butter off the room and house smell will not bother them and they will be ok with their new surroundings.
