Don't worry about it. Mom cat will do all her duties including deciding when to allow kittens to roam free. Young kittens, less than 3 weeks rarely leave the nest as they are too busy feeding and sleeping. So, just keep an eye on them. Should one of the braver ones decided to explore outside the nest box, just gently place him back. Most of the time, mom cat will perform that duty.

Once the kittens are starting to be weaned, about 5 weeks old, you can start setting up a bigger area for mom and her kittens.☆takecareofmycat☆

They usually will stay with mom for some time. Around 3 1/2 weeks they may start to try and climb out of the birthing box, but they should stay with mom until they are 12 weeks of age. Best of Luckincantato
