How long is the longest cat tail that you have seen?

My cat [Mr. Sophie] has a tail that is now 14 inches long and he is around 8 months old. I have heard that specific cats have long tails, but my cat is just a plain black cat, so i was just wondering what other people have noticed in their or other cats.

I saw a grey and black cat on the streets whose tail was about 16 inches long and I was like, ” Whoa, dude! “

One of ours is 14″, we measured it after seeing hers was way longer than the other cats. The others were all 12″ long. Hers is carried in a leopard’s curl when she walks.
