How much does it cost to deworm a kitten?

kitten
Andrea asked:

I would estimate the kitten is around 2 months old, and my friend says she has worms. How much does it cost just to get a kitten dewormed?

  1. Only the beginning Says:

no expirience in deworming anything (I am a horse and dog guy) but you get the worming medicine to keep the kitten from getting worms

    which is a good point
it would depend o the type of worm as in:
Tapeworm or heartworm or hook worm.

I don’t think hook worms can be removed but tapeworms can and it would cost anywhere between $200-$600
Andrea the guy is talking about fixing youir cat through some means that is not merdical (sommeone other than a veterinarian) Do you realize what the person is saying? Would you like fixcing a wormed cat by yourself? I doubt this guy knows better than a veterinarian, I would call him/her on this. It is totally inhumane to do that to a cat In my opinion
get a vets opinion first please Jim can be as false as his websight $150 to de heartworm a cat 15 years ago. At least get a veterinarians opinion if not get the humane socieries opinion.

$20? the cat will need to stay the night possibly. That may cost $70 talk to a vet please. I weould think the vet knows more than the guy does (even with his web site) Only the beginning

  2. Jim Says:

get it from your vet, it shouldn’t cost much more than $20 and the vet visit fee, unless the vet is a thief.

do you live near philly? like really near? i doubt it, but if you do, let me know, i’ve got dewormer for all worms except tape worms. hey, if you feel comfortable enough, i’d be willing to mail some strongid to you. Jim

Try seeing if your city’s Humane Society has a cheap clinic on a certain day. I work at one, and every Saturday we offer discount services and medications to the public. We deal with all types of worms and can identify and treat them in no time, while saving you a few bucks.

The money will go towards a great cause, please look into it. Patricia Anne

call your local vet and ask Wolfy
