They are NOT weaned from mom till 8 weeks old and they should stay with her and their siblings till a minimum of 10-12 weeks old to be physically and mentally ready to leave. Kittens under 10 weeks old can have behavior problems leaving too soon. Kittens will nurse up to 8 weeks old, but they start to sample canned and dry foods around 5 or 6 weeks old.
