When kittens are young like that, its honestly not safe to do these things to them. Why not check out an all natural solution?

Read the product directions.

First of all I would never put a flea collar on a cat or for that matter no collar of any kind at all. Cats can hang themselves on branches etc., if a branch or an other object get stuck behind the collar, the cat can not pull himself loose and starve to death. I use the drops, that you put on the back of their neck. Don’t know how old your kitten is, but I would call a vet to find out about the age. Sassybaby

Flea collars don’t work, and sometimes cause problems ( or kill )………and flea powder should not be used on kittens under 12 weeks.

READ THE WARNING LABELS……and PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY SAY………..

Don’t use ANYTHING on cats ( or kittens ) that is formulated for dogs. READ THE LABELS……..

CALL your vet and see what age he says about the correct age for flea product………Frontline, Advantage, ProMeris, etc…….It needs to be something that is SAFE for young kittens, and your kitten probably needs to have his vaccinations now, anyway……..so, CALL AND ASK.

You cat doesn’t need a flea collar unless they have fleas. They’re pretty dangerous.

I haven’t had luck with collars before, but I know the Advantage drops you give come in as little as under 5lbs., so if it’s by the same company then they might make them by the lbs. like the other medications are. I wouldn’t put powder on them though, they roll around a lot and then lick, you don’t want to take the chance of them ingesting any. kelly

it doesn’t matter because if your kitten has fleas then use the flea collar and it should have the exact age on the box of the flea collar? make sure your cat does not lick the powder and after you touch the collar clean your hands one time i got it in my eyes and it was not pretty hoped i helped

I dont like flea collars mostly b/c they only stop fleas from going from the head to the body. the best thing is to get from your vet the flea drops. just remember w/ powders that cats lick to clean so be careful using that. taboo

they might have a flea collar for six weeks or older but absolutley do not use flea powder unless they are over 12 weeks. just look at the back of the packages it will tell u how old. if you are concerned about fleas i would als reccomend going to the vet they would know what to do bluecube05
