Cats rarely need baths if at all. They are very clean animals and spend alot of time cleaning themselves.

12 weeks for a flea bath, 10 weeks is ok too my vet said as long as the shampoo is diluted it is ok, and regular shampoo there isnt really a age limit…. try having them play in the tub with like an inch of water so they know it dont hurt them

I bathed a kitten as early as 6 weeks because they were full of fleas (the people I got them from did not take good care of their animals). Just be super careful not to get anything into their eyes, nose, or ears. And don’t let the shampoo sit on them for 5 minutes or whatever the bottle says. The 4 kittens I gave baths to are still alive and well today.

Actually, my girlfriend works at a vet clinic and she says that cat’s should be bathed about as often as you would a dog. Cats don’t get stinky like dogs but can still benefit from baths. You should start them early so they get used to it and won’t fight you when they get older.

You shouldn’t ever bath a cat unless it is filthy & can’t bathe itself.
Cats have natural oils in their skin which are removed if you wash them. Their skin will dry out & they will have problems. Cats are naturally clean animals, and you should never bathe a kitten because it removes it’s scent and it’s mother will not feed it.

Once they are weaned should be ok. So about 8 weeks. Cats don’t need baths though. The things with giving kittens baths though is that you need to make sure that you keep they really warm afterwards. They will be very susceptible to getting sick if you towel them off and then kind of just leave them to dry sort of like an older cat. If you give them a bath you might try blow drying them dry with a hair dryer. Make sure the blow dryer is not too hot and not too close.

What zebra said above - cats dont need baths unless they got dipped in mud or something…. baths are actually not healthy for them.

kittens and cats dont need to have baths. their skin is very sensitive, and they spend alot of time waterporoofing their fur by licking it. so, if you want to get them used to water, just put a little bit of water in the bathtub, and let them walk in it, usually they will play with whatever is laying in the water..like a plastic easter egg, or something small that floats, they will try to get it out of the water. dont force them into the water, it will only lead to stressful licking episodes, then you will have to take them to the vet for medicine, so just dont bathe them.

Just wipe them with a wet wash cloth at 6 weeks.
