You know it kind of worries me too thinking about it. Who knows what kind of paint they are using. What about the ceramic bowls that a lot of people use? What kind of paint and glaze are they putting on them? The best bowls to use are the metal bowls. Now days you just don't know. It's a scary world. Yes it would definately be harmful to pets.

Lead could be more harmful on pets as they ingest the lead more easily and are smaller than humans thus increasing the ratio of poison to body weight. Thanks for bringing this up, I will be checking my dog's toys for the "made in" label. I can't imagine that lead would be good for dogs, but I'm not sure of the exact damage it would cause. Then again, my bulldog has eaten many things that I could have sworn would have made him sick and had absolutely no symptoms/problems. Maybe he has a cast iron stomach! Hadn’t even occurred to me!
