the only way a cat is bad for your health if you are allergic to the cat. other than that cats arent bad for your health. is your mom a cat lover? if not i think thats the reason why she doesnt want u to have one.

If cats were bad for your health, we wouldn’t have them as pets. You do have to be careful about things like toxoplasmosis if you are pregnant, but in general there is no way that a cat can be bad for your health.

Unless you’re allergic to cat dander, you’re o.k.
Actually, having a pet of any kind is a positive for your emotional well being.

Unless your Allergic to cats,Cats will not affect your health.I’ve Grown up around people who work in the medical field wayyy to long. So,Cats wont affect your health, unless your allergic.

it depends if your allergic to them………….

  6. Nancy Says:

    Not true!

People can be allergic to them, but that’s easily fixed without getting rid of the cat.

Also, if you ever get pregnant, get someone else to change/clean the litter box because pregnant women can get a disease from changing the litter. Or wear sterile gloves.
