Take a shoe box, put a table tennis ball in it, tape up the lid and cut two holes on the side smaller than the ball so he can get his paw in but can’t get the ball out. Paper grocery bags are good but it also helps if you put some toys away occasionally and bring them back out later so they’re new again. Move them into different places too.

Put some dry food into paper towel tubes and twist the ends or you can buy special balls to put the food in and every so often, some will drop out and he will keep playing til he gets it out.

Alright, here’s a few ideas. Put a ping-pong ball in the bathtub and that will keep him entertained for quite awhile. Mine’s been in the bathtub with his for about 30 minutes now. Crunch some aluminum paper into different saws balls for him to paw at everywhere. Milk caps are great. When you’re done with a gallon of milk, put the cap on the tile floor for him to bat around. Now THIS one is really good: HAIRTIES. The simple stretchy elastic bands you can get from pretty much anywhere… my cat Hippie goes insane over these, and even brings one to me often so I’ll play fetch with him. I think he likes them because he can pick them up, and sometimes the fabric gets caught in his nail, so it’s a surprise, and he flings it, and then he can chase it… and it’s very easy to carry in his mouth. I also reccommend a small stuffed toy with a crinkly (not too much though) outer fabric with catnip inside. He’ll probably start to carry it around and hide it from you as a game. I leave things hanging from doorknobs so he can attack those as well. If you have a long piece of wood board, you can make him a climbing ramp. Just nail or staple fabric onto the board, and prop it up against the wall. Make sure the nails don’t stick out though, and test the board to see if it will fall over before letting your kitten use it. Try out different angles as well. However, the best toy a kitten can have is his owner! Play with your kitty! When you’re in bed, put your hands and feet under the blanket and move them around so he’ll attack at them. Get a bit of string and drag it behind you as you walk/run through the house. When he’s batting stuff around on the kitchen floor, get down there and bat it right back! One of the best ways of bonding with your kitten is playing with it. You become very interesting to them, and it makes them want to spend lots of time with you. Hope this helped.

go to walmart and get a cat tree, they are like 30 bucks and it goes floor to celing and 3 shelves, my cats love that. I have gotten some hanging toys and stapled then onto the shelves so they can bat those around. there are I think it’s called Cypurrr mouse that will run around and the cat can chase after it, I think it is even motion detection too. I’ve been wanting to get one of those, haven’t done it yet. One thing that we did was went to a grocery store and asked if they had any banana boxes and we got one of those (they have a hole in the bottom of the box) my cats love to jump in there and play the paw game (they are in the box and you stick your finger in the holes and they try and get your finger, you want to have their nails trimmed for this game)

I found somewhere something called a treat ball it is a small ball that has an opening at the top and you can put treats in it and close it and they bat that around and get treats as they do.

What I do is I put all the toys that I have out at this time in the upside down banana box and they can go in there and get out any toy they want to play with and you can go around every night or when ever you feel you need to and pick up all the toys and put them in there so they are out of the way. and they can still get to them. what I also do is because my boys are spoiled and have a lot of toys I put out a bunch and keep the rest put away and then every month or so I pick those ones up and put some “new” ones out.

well my cats love this little stuffed sheep!!they have so much fun bitting it. also your cat might like string,feathers-mine do,and what else? ummmm ohh yeaha mine like little balls that have bells in it so i hope this helped!:-)

Try some simple things. My one cat LOVES Qtips. They are small and light weight, she snags the cotton end and flings them into the air, then tries to jump up and catch them. (she’s pretty good at it, too) Just keep watch, and when the cotton starts to unravel, take it away and give him a new one. (You don’t want him eating the cotton, it can cause tummy troubles.) And I only use the ones with the plastic stick. The paper ones can unroll, and if they eat that - that too can cause tummy troubles.
Try throwing some small paper wads. Several of my cats will chase them, and even bring them back.
You can make cat nip toys. Just get some scrap material and some batting or fiberfill and wrap it around some cat nip, and sew the edges. You don’t even need a sewing machine.
Plus, when you’re gone, he will eventually take a nap. Cats sleep lots. So, if he gets bored, that’s probably what he will do.
Love him, play with him. Keep him as an indoor cat only, and get him neutered. Both of these things will keep him safer and happier.

I used to think my kitty was weird till i asked on here, she can spend hours watching moving water! so i have set up a system in the laundry sink with spoons and small containers so its like a waterfall (yes sad i know) she will sit watching it for hours!!
hey it beats her bringing in 2inch cockroches to play with!

my cats love these stupid cheap platic balls with bells in them. they have quite a few toys, and these 50cent jobbies drive them nuts. They play with them all the time.
