Moving into house where last owner had a Cat and I am very allergic to Cats?

I am very allergic to cats, but am planning to have the carpets deeply cleaned in order to try to get all of the allergens out. Is there any more I can do, or should I not even consider moving into the house? Any ideas or other people who have gone through the same thing?

before living in the house, replace all carpet & padding, clean the air ducts, wash walls & cabinets with warm soapy water, and replace all window coverings.
