Putting a kitten in a cage during the night?

Kelly asked:

I’m about to receive my very first kitten in a few days. We have all the necessary items, however, during the night we were planning to keep it in its carrier until its fully trained.

Is this okay temporarily? There will be a litter box and food and water in the carrier, and the kitten will have full access to the house within the week she arrives home.

That should be fine. Make sure the kitten has a small blanket to sleep on and plenty of room to move around without walking in its food, water or litter. JamesT

Yeah, it should be fine. I kept mine in a large box with high walls when they where small. I kept toys in mine as well but they mostly only slept in there. Pocky
