We have two cats- a mother and son. The mother cat must be 13 years old at this stage. The other isn’t too far behind her.

He had to have a leg removed because of a car accident. He’s huge, and he has a bit of a reputation. You can’t stroke him like normal cats. I think he actually ht inksnks he’s a dog!

So I’m worried about getting any new cats in case our tomcat doesn’t take well to them. I’m sure the other cat would get used company very quickly, though, since she’s very friendly.

Thanks!*

How can I put my cat on a diet when my roommates cats are seniors and underweight?

My cat is about 2 years old, and used to be so gorgeous and hyper and all over the place. Since I got her fixed, she lays around and just eats, all day long. I had her on a diet until I moved in with my current roommate. I was feeding her one cup a day and she was doing well, loosing weight. But now my roommate’s cats are 13 and 14 years old, and they’re underweight. I can not find a way to limit her eating, and I can’t put her on a weight control formula because of the other cats. Any ideas?
