Most cats avoid strangers and aren’t much of lap cats, one of those cats is my favorite Egyptian Mau.
The only cat i know to be very social, loving and loyal is the Savannah but its illegal in NYC.
So what cat breed is warm, isn’t afraid of much things, playful, loyal and is a lap cat and doesn’t hide or hiss at strangers and other animals.

I have two cats that I rescued from shelters (shorthair mix and siamese mix). I love them both to pieces, but they’re both incredibly mean. They bite and scratch and hiss at everything and they HATE to be picked up.

No, I don’t think that a cat has to come from a breeder to be friendly. I just wanted to try something different. I’ve met some cats from shelters that are really sweet.
