squirrel girl asked: I have a cat and am planning on getting a dog. My cat loves food and has eaten from my friend’s dog food when she was visiting. I want to get a Golden Retriever and I’ve heard they’re big on eating. How would I keep the food away from one another?

But this cat will not chill out. She’s not declawed and she’s smacked the dog around a few times. He keeps his distance but if he even walks by her she hisses non-stop and swipes him a few times. It’s been nearly a month since I’ve gotten the cat, will she ever get along with the dog?

Cat is okay with dogs, but doesn’t like this one.
Something that you won’t have to keep the cat inside for very long.

The cat is declawed, and she is very calm in my arms. The animals have met before, but nothing serious happened my dog kind of looked at the cat warily…..
