David L asked: I am in the process of getting a dog. However, we already have 2 (indoor) cats one young and one old.
I am afraid that a new dog might beat up my old cat?
How do I find out if the new dog will get along with my existing cats or not? I want them to be one big happy family. Is there a way to test this? Are certain breads of dogs more likely to get along with cats than others?

James asked:
A number of cats got together and decided to kill between them 999919 mice. Every cat killed an equal number of mice. Each cat killed more mice than there were cats. How many cats do you think there were ?

Not all cats do that, but i saw many times a cat tried to run
accross the street while the car was coming close, not before.
Is it a kind of challenging or something?
Thanks.

cinnamen911 asked: My cat had kittens roughly 2 weeks ago. She had two and one died after three days. It had extremely white, almost yellow gums and tongue and then is appeared to seizure and die. Because of where I live a vet was not an option.
The kitten left is 2 weeks old and seems healthy. She is growing and has gained weight, but today I noticed her gum color was a really pale pink. She is warm and being a 2 week old kitten sleeps most of the day. She does climb around when the mom goes in but hasn’t been nursing as much as usual. I would like to do the pinch test but because she is so small there I’m scared to try and besides that there is not much skin there.

Introverted extrovert asked:
I’ve had my 9month old kitten for about 10weeks now and she has settled in great. Next week I will be bringing home a new friend for her that is 9weeks old.
What is the best way to introduce them without overwhelming the baby kitten? Should I keep her in her carrier until my other cat gets her scent?
Should expect them to fight a little until she settles in?

My cat has caught three baby rats in the last few days in the garden. He has an unusual habit of licking me on the face. Is this a major health risk to me because of his contact with rats

RunningBear asked:
Of course, we all try to practice good hygiene, but there are always times when my cat reaches out and licks my lips unexpectedly just after he’s been licking his butt, or when I’m not sure if he’s eaten something off my dinner plate when I had my back turned.
How worried and how careful should we be?
Oh I’m not phobic, just wondering.

I want a cat, but I also have 2 rabbits. I would like to know if there’s a way to train the cat not to attack my rabbits. The rabbits are always kept in a seperate room, but it is always possible the cat could slip in. I obviously won’t get the cat if there isn’t a way, but I would like to know if anyone else has encountered this problem and what has worked for them.

We’re moving to another state soon. It will be a good 14 hour drive. Will my cat die from this ride? How should I make it easier for her? I am really worried.
She keeps meowing desperately non-stop. Her tone goes very low at times (sounds as if she is in pain). I just can tell that she is in intolerable discomfort.
