Kiera S asked: I have a nine month old cat, and I’ve been told to not feed her anything with by-products or too many fillers. With my budget, though, it’s been hard to find something that I can afford on a regular basis. Could anyone reccommend to me a wet and/or dry cat food that’s affordable, healthy, and that my cat will eat?

Moose88 asked: I think something may be wrong with my 6 month old kitten. I woke up this morning and he wasn’t walking straight, his nose is dry, then I looked at his eyes and they are partially closed, I’m still trying to figure out how much water intake he’s having, if any at all. What worries me the most is his body is cold and he hasn’t been running around, like he usually does, so I’m not sure if he’s cold because something’s wrong or if it’s because he’s been inactive all day.
The part I’m also unsure about is lately I have been feeding him just dry cat food and not our wet/dry mix. He’s been eating the dry cat food, but I wondered if it wasn’t really feeding him, so I gave him some wet food and he scarfed it down in less than 3 minutes.
So now I’m at a waiting point to see if maybe he just needed some real food or if maybe he ate something bad he found around the house. Any ideas?

I have 3 cats. I put a flat sheet on our queen bed for sanitary reasons. My husband buys loose cat nip and puts it on the bed. Also he puts (loose) dry cat food on the bed. He thinks this is fine. Now when i go to bed i have to shake out the sheet. He thinks this is fine. What is your opinion on this. I think it is beyond stupid. Our couch has turned into a wool blanket with cat nip. Is this reasonable . Who sleeps in a food trough?

ELLE asked:
I have heard that dry cat food is bad for your cats health. My cat loves dry cat food and only eats a small amount of the wet cat food. I used to give her dry food in the mornings but now I have started to give her wet cat food as that would be the time when she is the most hungry. This morning she woke me up meowing becuase she was hungry and I fed her one of those small tins of cat food and she only ate half. An hour later she still didn’t finish it. I gave her a small pile of dry cat food and she ran straight over and ate it. I don’t think it is enough food for her to be eating only one small tin of cat food a day (half in the morning, half at night). She is already small and although her weight is okay, she really doesn’t need to be any thinner.

We adopted a cat that was a stray. I bought her some cheap dry cat food. After a week she started throwing it up and won’t eat it any more. She will eat soft cat food but is still throwing up. What should I feed her? I tried mixing rice in her soft food but that didn’t work.

Sweet n Sour asked:
I have 2 cats just under a year old, I buy dry cat food for them - Friskies, Kit N Kaboodle, Meow Mix, etc. I’ve heard that dry cat food can cause urinary troubles, and I’m wondering what you all feed your cats that you consider good and not as expensive as canned food for 2 growing cats.
