Ryan asked:
My cats must love the material on my roof ’cause they can’t stop leaving their droppings scattered across it. What can I use to make them go back to the litter box? I’ve heard ammonia works but I don’t exactly know how to put in on the roof (spray, pour, etc.)
They get on my roof using the high wall between my backyard and my neighbors by the way.

I know some cats have problems with this, but how is it that most cats already know to go to the litter box when they have to go?
My cat’s mom never taught him to go in the ltter box, so how did he already know to go in it?

I have two wonderful cats. They have a litter box that is cleaned daily and they use it. However they also continue to spray around the house. Yesterday my boy cat Bruce actually got on top the kitchen counter and pee’d right on the counter! I couldn’t believe it. I love my animals however there is a limit to which I can say enough is enough. Is there anything I can do or a product I can buy that will stop the cats from going anywhere in the house except their litter box?

I have 2 cats and we recently moved into an apartment with a friend, who has his own cat. The first week, the cats all got along, but now 3 weeks in, they are all very aggressive with each and one of the cats expelled urine on top of a wooden dresser (which has never been done before). Any one have suggestions or been in this situation? We are going to get a 2nd litter box, but I am worried there may be more to the problem.

I adopted an orphaned kitten at 3 weeks old. He is now 5 weeks old. I understand that clumping litter is not healthy for baby kittens so I’ve been providing him a small litter box filled with traditional clay litter. When can I let him use the litter box with the “grown ups”?

My dog won’t stop chewing on my new cat’s toys… he has his own right beside it and he might just like the feathers on it or something… but he is ruining the toys I just got for my kitten.. the feathers are all chewed up and gross. He also eats my cat’s food and bothers her while she is in her litter box… any advice from anybody?? My dog is driving me absolutely crazy!!

Katrina C asked:
We have one older cat and 2 younger kittens. The kittens use the litter box when we are awake at home but everyday when I go to work or wake up in the morning they have pooped or peed on the floor. I scold them and put them in the litter box but they just keep going around the house but only when we are not around to see. I’m about to have a baby soon so I cannot have them making a mess all over the house but I also do not want to get rid of them. Any suggestions?

We have two cats and we live in a small apartment. I love the cats but hate the smell. I clean the litter box every day, but yet there is the awful smell. I have purchased air freshners, litter box crystals, baking soda and tried different litter. Is there a type of food that would reduce the kitty smell? Or what litter works best for you? Or what air freshner cuts the smell the most? Help!

n i n a asked:
My cat just had four kittens on Sunday. (One underneath my bed) They have a really nice, big, warm, and comfortable kitten bed. We were keeping them under our dining room table, near her food and her litter box. Three days later, she took all her kittens under my bed. It is a very cramped and unsafe area were there is no room for the kitten bed. Our house is fairly large. Do I need to keep her in a more quiet, secluded place? Why is she taking her kittens under by bed?
