I am taking care of a cat, but I do not enjoy the cat sleeping with me. Usually the cat wakes me up multiple times and it is driving me insane. Is it cruel to make the cat sleep in a different room (the cat’s previous owner let the cat sleep with them)?
I have noticed that the cat will cry if I put the cat in another room with a bed for him, but wouldn’t he get used to the new arrangement? He just wants to play all night, lol.
Thanks for the ideas!

I understand cats are nocturnal, but our kittens decide they want to play hockey and kitten-derby at 11 at night and 4 in the morning but they sleep all day. Is there any way we can switch that around by changing feeding times or something? We try playing with them right before bed but that just winds them up more. Any thoughts?

I want to get that breed of cat for a pet. I grew-up with a two mean cats. One stalked and attacked a small child in 1978 and my mother had it put to sleep :(. (The child had some scratches and bite marks).
The other cat, just attacked me, my parents and siblings at random. Such a wonderful cat.

What do I do about food when you have a small kitten and 2 older kittens who will need adult food soon?

I have two 9 month old kittens who will be going off kitten food soon. I also have just taken in a stray, now 12 weeks old. Stanley, one of my older kittens, is already pretty big and I am worried than if he eats kitten food he will continue to get much bigger than he should. How do I keep the older cats from eating the kitten food that the little one needs?
They will all continue with kitten food until the oldest are a year old. I fear that Jasmine the oldest female will be jealous of the baby girl, Alix, being able to eat seperately. It has taken about three weeks to get Jasmine to accept Alix, Jasmine has just now allowed Alix on the bed to sleep at night.

I’m considering getting a cat. Most of my friends have indoor/outdoor cats — cats that like to go outside but come back in to eat / sleep. This might sound like a silly question but how do you “train” the cat to come back home? How old do they have to be before they can go outside and not get lost?

Is there anybody near Los Angeles (Glendora) or anywhere near here that has kittens for sale? Or possibly giving them away? My Moms cat just had to be put to sleep, so I’m thinking a new kitty will make her feel much better. Thanks
