Val asked:
My cat often gets matted fur, and the vet told me that it was okay for me to shave her myself. She has been shaved professionally before, but the mats keep coming back.

Behhar B asked: I have alot of cat toys, mostly catnip mice, soft balls and such, and lately the two cats are showing no interest in playing with them. I also have a bird on a string, and rather than play with the bird, they just want to chew on the string. They will chew on other things too given the rare opportunity when I drop a twistie-tie or crafting yarn.
They are fed with Feline CD kibbles, with some canned wet food. I live in the city so they are indoor, but have regular vet checkups. Is there a reason they want to chew so badly? Also, is there something safe I can give them to chew on if they are missing something diet-wise? I tried those long cylindrical treats but they aren’t interested in those. They do like grass but its not like they really chew on it when they get it.

Update : yes i just spent 20 mins attempting to play, and on other days also.
They are on feline CD prescribed by vet, I can’t change the food.

Taylor! =] asked: i have four cats, and they are all indoors cats. they keep getting those ugly little worms around their anuses and in their stool.. they have been dewormed a few times. how do you get rid of them for good?
yeah you don’t just get rid of a pet that you love
and we have done that pill from the vet on them several times but they keep reoccuring. and idk if its tape worms because they are not long worms, they are probably a few millimeters.

I have 2 kittens brother and sister, just over 5 mnths old. The female has just come into heat but the vet says I cant have them neutered until they are 6 mnths old which is 2 wks away. I do I stop them mating without having toshut them up in seperate rooms for 2 wks whihc isn’t practical. Do male kittens come into heat later than females or does it vary?

Kris asked:
Help please! I have never taken care of cats before. I rescued two kittens from the rubbish bin that were approx 4 days old. I feed them kitten formula in small amounts every three hours or so. Amazingly they are still alive and growing fast. The vet says they are healthy but very small. Any suggestions on how and when I should switch to babycat nibbles? Someone recommended Royal Canin?? Do I mix them with the milk, or go straight to water? If you can, please tell me how to make this change. They are now three weeks old. When’s a good time to start? Thanks - Trying to be a good mother cat!

I’m moving into an apartment soon and want to get a cat, the rules are they have to be fixed and they have to be current on shots. I’ve had cats before but have never taken them to the vet. I know I’m a bad owner but this time I want to do right by my future feline friend. So can someone help me? What immunizations should a cat have and at what ages? Is it just rabies or are there more?

mair.bair asked: I got a 9 week old kitten at the weekend and am planning on taking her to the vet in the next couple of weeks for a check up. My question is, what can I do (worm, flea treatments, etc) and what should I be expecting the vet to do (injections etc)?
Thanks!

♪♫band_geek♫♪ asked:
Okay, I just got a new kitten. He was under my house. My dad and I are going to take him to the vet as soon as possible. He’s only weening age, but he’s already eaten solid food. But, he’s not playful. Is there a certain age where kittens start getting playful? If so, what age is it?

Stephanie S asked:
My boyfriends kitten is about ten weeks old and has not gone to the vet for an overall evaluation of the kittens health. Is it necessary for a kitten to go to the vet while he is still very young?
