Cats and Kittens

My cat often gets matted fur, and the vet told me that it was okay for me to shave her myself. She has been shaved professionally before, but the mats keep coming back.

I also have a bird on a string, and rather than play with the bird, they just want to chew on the string. They are fed with Feline CD kibbles, with some canned wet food. I live in the city so they are indoor, but have regular vet checkups. Is there a reason they want to chew so badly? They do like grass but its not like they really chew on it when they get it.

Update : yes i just spent 20 mins attempting to play, and on other days also.
They are on feline CD prescribed by vet, I can’t change the food.

i have four cats, and they are all indoors cats. they keep getting those ugly little worms around their anuses and in their stool.. they have been dewormed a few times. how do you get rid of them for good?
yeah you don’t just get rid of a pet that you love

and we have done that pill from the vet on them several times but they keep reoccuring. and idk if its tape worms because they are not long worms, they are probably a few millimeters.

Help please! I have never taken care of cats before. I rescued two kittens from the rubbish bin that were approx 4 days old. I feed them kitten formula in small amounts every three hours or so. Amazingly they are still alive and growing fast. The vet says they are healthy but very small. Any suggestions on how and when I should switch to babycat nibbles? Someone recommended Royal Canin?? Do I mix them with the milk, or go straight to water? If you can, please tell me how to make this change. They are now three weeks old. When’s a good time to start? at the vet and we got a dog that and that caused him not to eat but when we took him to the vet he had to be under anesthisa and he hasnt eaten anything for a day and a half.

Okay, I just got a new kitten. He was under my house. My dad and I are going to take him to the vet as soon as possible. He’s only weening age, but he’s already eaten solid food. But, he’s not playful. Is there a certain age where kittens start getting playful? If so, what age is it?
