Cats and Kittens

I have a cat. And she had 5 baby kittens. The are 5 weeks old and I’m not quit sure when to start feeding them dry cat food. I don’t have kitten formula I just have wet cat food in the can. Can I start mixing dry kitten food and the wet food together or do i do something else?

I have fed my cat dry cat food all his life, he is an indoor cat and health if a little over weight. He is now 13 years old and starting to have trouble with hairballs and puking in my room. I want to switch him to healthier canned indoor cat food for old cats. He has always been able to eat whenever and how much he wants with the open food bucket but now i closed the dry food. My question is how often do i feed him a day from the canned food?

I think something may be wrong with my 6 month old kitten. I woke up this morning and he wasn’t walking straight, his nose is dry, then I looked at his eyes and they are partially closed, I’m still trying to figure out how much water intake he’s having, if any at all. What worries me the most is his body is cold and he hasn’t been running around, like he usually does, so I’m not sure if he’s cold because something’s wrong or if it’s because he’s been inactive all day.

The part I’m also unsure about is lately I have been feeding him just dry cat food and not our wet/dry mix. He’s been eating the dry cat food, but I wondered if it wasn’t really feeding him, so I gave him some wet food and he scarfed it down in less than 3 minutes.

So now I’m at a waiting point to see if maybe he just needed some real food or if maybe he ate something bad he found around the house. Any ideas?

I was wondering how much cat food they should get a day. (It is canned cat food)
I understand how the weight thing should work, but until I can find a accurate scale I’ve gotta go by holding-the-cat-and-guessing.
We had dry food, I don’t know if we’ll get it. Besides, I didn’t ask about what wet food causes, I asked about how much they should be getting.
