Get a decent quality clumping litter and clean the box whenever you see something in it. It soon becomes a habit. I understand you're not there all the time. The good quality litter will help with that. But the best remedy for removing odor is removing what's causing the odor. Keep the box clean. 18 gibbs 20

Use one that helps with strong odors. Tidy Cats works well. Scoop it everyday, and change the litter once a week. ♥Animal♥person♥

scoop it on a daily basis , clean the box thoroughly every week, watch the cat's diet and dont give it something that would stink when it goes out the other end ( well they all stink but fish tends to stink more ) , invest in some good litter brand i use compact cat litter i dont know if you have it where you live , it really is good, hope my answer helped. Aloosh

It isn't the litter box creating the odor, it's what is in it!

Empty the box and wash it very well with soapy water. Rinse. Dry.

Pour 1/2 a box of baking soda in the bottom.

Add a few inches of litter. No smell!

Scoop the box completely at least once daily.

Repeat the entire sequence every week.

Urine comes out of the body sterile and with little odor but for the slight ammonia smell. It is when bacteria get to work on the voided urine that it smells really bad. If it is removed daily there is not much chance for this to happen.

Cats' stools smell can range from no discernible odor to incredibly foul. This can be controlled by what the cat eats.

If you are feeding your cat a diet of poorly digested ingredients then it is going to have much more odor. If you feed your cat only canned or raw food containing no by-products, corn, wheat etc. there will be no to little odor.

Switch your cat to a high quality canned food, no dry stuff made of corn etc, keep the box very clean, and you will notice a difference.

To help your cat's digestion you could add a probiotic supplement to its food a couple times a week.

I have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes. They absolutely do not smell. susan n
