Am having very good luck with Nutro and Science Diet canned kitten food with a couple of young kittens we rescued. We tried Iams but it gave them diarrhea, might not do that for you though. I'm not on the anti-dry food bandwagon, but IMHO you need to make sure it's high quality dry food and not cheap stuff. You get what you pay for. Plus we've raised a lot of cats over the years, and we've always used canned as the primary food and dry more as a treat or an add-on to the regular diet. One of our kittens is old enough to eat dry, the other is having a bit of problems because he's the runt of the litter and his jaw strength isn't quite developed yet. We're using a very good brand of dry called Castor and Pollux, it's made with grade-A human-consumption level chicken, instead of just chicken meal and corn (corn can cause problems in some cats, rice is better in dry food if you can find it). It's pricier than Friskies, but again you get what you pay for.
