When I used scented litters I found I was sensitive to the perfumes in them. Then I changed the food I was feeding my cat. I now use Natural Choice Complete care cat food and I can use unscented store brand clumping litter and have no odor. Another positive side to the changing of the food was that I found my cats coat looks better and they shed very little. Before I changed foods I was embarrassed to have guests sit on my furniture because of the pet hair. I no longer have that problem. Even their Vet says they look great and are in great health and he is now recommending this food. You can also try using a litter box that is completely covered except for a hole in the top. It looks like a plastic storage tote except for the hole.
