What is the best kind of cat repellent spray?

One of my two cats kept peeing and pooping on the carpet under my couch and I already cleaned out the spots with Nature’s Miracle Advanced for Cats and use strong UV light to find pee spots. I want him to stay out of underneath of my couch so what kind of cat repellent spray works better and lasts long?
I’m asking what’s the best brand of cat repellent spray not for advice. Both of his boxes are hidden in closet

There is a reason he is going there. Where is his cat box? Cats like to hide their poop, so if his cat box is in an open place that is why he won’t use it. You can get covers and stuf so that the cat will be more comfortable.
In the wild, cats bury and hide their poop so that bigger preditors won’t be as likely to find them. So it is a natural instinct for them to want to be in a hidden place. Under a couch is a good hiding place. You need to get his catbox in a good hiding place. J M

Most cats detest the smell or anything citrus or mentholated. So you could try putting a few drops of an essential oil on a cloth, and then placing that underneath your couch. Obviously, you’d need to top up the fragrance as it begins to fade. michele_cat_cyprus
