My husband and I found a cat that is grey, brown, and white and it has 6 toes on each front paw. Does anyone know what kind of cat this could be?

For example, the grounds of the museum, and Key West, is populated with six-toed cats. Guides tell tourists that Hemingway brought the first six-toed cat over from Cuba, and the descendants roam the island today.
Of particular interest to many visitors are the cats who live on the property. There are about 50 roaming the estate, half of them of the 6-toed variety. They are said to be descendants of a sea captain’s cat given to Hemingway..
Calico is color - and six toes is polydactylsm - neither are a breed. So it is a polydactyl cat that is calico in color. It could be a lot of breeds or a mixed breed. Ernest Hemmingway was famous for keeping polydactyl cats but they are not purebred.
Any breed of cat can have extra toes, but it is most common among mixed breeds since they have the largest genetic pool. Because it is a genetic trait passed on through the generations, 6 toed cats (polydactyl ) do tend to be more common in certain areas. Key West has a large population as does an area of Boston. While they are not a breed unto themselves, they are very interesting cats!
some cats have more toes on each paw. it’s just a smal deformity. it doesn’t hurt them. i think the record was 10 toes on 1 paw!!!! neway, dont worry. the cat’s fine.

I’d say a female (all calicos are female) with two extra toes, but not a special breed, just a little freaky.
