You need to Spay/Neuter them to help get the testosterone levels down a bit so they arent so edgy. There will be a bit of hissing when you mix them up but its ok. Just calmly break them up and send them on their way. Make sure to use vinegar and water to clean ANY urine sprays they have made. After a couple weeks (from spay/neuter) they should be A LOT better. We've brought in completely strange cats to our house (in crates) and they hiss like crazy because of all the resident cats (4) and dogs (7). But.. they calm down eventually enough to be sociable.
