Why does my 10 week old kitten hide her toys?
My new kitten loves to play but she has started hiding her toys under the bed. Also anything she finds that she wants to keep, she hides under there. There are no other cats in the house so i don’t know who shes hiding them from!

Cats will hide their toys so only they can find them. Allot of times, cats become possessive and “pack-rats”. However, Cats get pretty upset when you move their toys because they know exactly where they are at. Every now and again, I will put my cats toys away ( in a little basket), and she will go to the spot where toy used to be. Then she sits their and cries because she can’t find her toy and is to stubborn to go over to her toy basket.
I must say cats are unique animals.

How cute. Got to be a primal thing. Under your bed has now become her den

Oh my gosh, i am guessing you are a first time cat owner? well she is hiding her toys down there for play. And cats always hide, they like being in small places. They feel like they are stalking. When they hide their toys, they are pretending that they are hiding their fallen prey. She isnt hiding them from anyone

She is having her own version of fun. The game of hide and go seek. I would personnally play along with her just makesure she doesn,t get anything importan i.e. papers or bills

That is so cute. I feel as though she’s probably just hoarding things she knows she’ll want to play with later. It’s probably more of like… a safekeeping measure than really hiding them.
